Yes, completely. Every Bear Grills grill is custom-fabricated by hand in Australia using Australian steel. We don’t import components or assemble overseas parts. Your grill is welded, finished, and shipped from our Australian workshop directly to you.

The Cub ($1,500) is our compact backyard trolley grill, self-contained, on wheels, feeds 4–5 people, footprint of 1200mm wide. Built to last a lifetime.

The Grizzly ($2,800) is our flagship. Larger grill surface with a round-bar grate, feeds up to 12 people, 1100mm wide on trolley. Every element is designed for quality and longevity, this is the grill you hand down to the next generation.

Both use the Santa Maria adjustable height grate and are 100% Australian made. If you’re after a portable camping grill, check out the Camp Cubs instead.

Both. The Santa Maria grill design works with hardwood, charcoal, or a combination of both. Wood gives you more smoke flavour and a classic live-fire result; charcoal is more consistent and easier to manage. Most Bear Grills customers use a mix, burn wood down to coals, then cook over the embers.

Absolutely. Custom orders are a big part of what we do. If you have specific size requirements, want modifications, or have something in mind that isn’t in our standard range, get in touch and we’ll talk through what’s possible.

Because every grill is made to order, lead times vary depending on current demand. Get in touch through our contact page and we’ll give you an accurate current lead time.

We currently ship within the Brisbane area. For interstate or remote delivery, freight costs will vary, we’ll quote this when you enquire.

The Camp Cubs (Small and Large) are open-bottom grills designed to sit directly over your campfire, ground fire, or existing fire pit. They don’t have a built-in fire chamber, you supply the fire, they supply the cooking surface. At 15kg and 25kg they’re genuinely portable.

The Cub and The Grizzly are full self-contained trolley grills with their own fire chamber. No separate fire pit needed, just fuel and a lighter. They’re heavier (~200kg) and designed for backyard or semi-permanent installation.

Both families use the same Santa Maria adjustable grate system and the same Australian-made hand-welded construction.

The Camp Cub Small weighs approximately 15kg and the Camp Cub Large weighs approximately 25kg. Both pack down flat for easy transport in a ute tray, camper trailer, or car boot.
